Chinese 3G Subs To Top 20mln By 2010

According to the Chinese Academy of Telecommunications of the Ministry of Information Industry, the Chinese 3G market will see rapid growth during 2006 and 2010, with 3G subscribers reaching 20 million and the market scale hitting US$12.4 billion by 2010. The Chinese 3G industry's revenue will account for 10% of the Chinese mobile communication industry' total revenue at the initial stage, and boost to 15% by 2010. In addition, the Chinese government has been said to invest ten billion RMB on E3G (Enhanced Third Generation), which is likely to launch in ten years.
